Super Bowl Recipe Roundup! (2024)

We are less than a week out from the biggest sporting event of the year. Even before I loved football, I loved the Super Bowl. Who doesn’t love creamy dips, fun drinks, and time with family and friends? If you have been following appetizer playoffs on my Instagram, you may have seen many of these recipes already, and maybe even made some and voted for your favorites.

For your convenience, I have compiled all of the recipes from playoffs alongside some of my favorite older recipes in one blog post and there are 4 new Kansas City/ San Francisco themed recipes hidden with the individual full recipes linked! No matter which hot guys in red that you are rooting for, you’ll find something perfect to eat below. Enjoy, and let me know who you’re rooting for!

Creamy Dips

This subsection of dips are all dairy based, mostly containing Greek yogurt so that we can sneak some protein in. They are not exactly light or healthy because there's just nothing that makes a dip quite as decadent as 8 ounces of cream cheese, but that's not what the Superbowl is all about. These are some of my most popular playoff recipes and I know that you and your guests are going to absolutely love them.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

This classic dip is popular for a reason. It is so easy to make and delicious. There is no doubt that people are going to be complimenting you and asking for this recipe!

Philly Cheesesteak Dip

This is the perfect crowd-pleasing ooey-gooey appetizer is perfect for your Superbowl party and beyond. Although the Eagles did not have staying power this year, we all love Kylie Kelce and can pay homage to her by making this delicious dip.

Baltimore Crab Dip

This dip is a crowd pleasing delight. You will miss it when it's gone, just like the Baltimore Ravens this playoffs season. Enjoy this insanely good dip with tortilla chips, pita chips, toasted sourdough, or veggies! This will leave everyone begging for more!

French Onion Soup Dip

A heaven-sent easy to make appetizer perfect for your Superbowl party. This is cheap to make and easy to throw together. It also makes your house smell amazing!

Hot and Spicy Elote Dip

This elote dip is hot as in warm and hot as in spicy. Well, mildly spicy, nothing crazy, but if your grandma is from the Midwest you might want to warn her gently. This dip is equally enjoyable on fall and winter game days and on hot summer days by the pool. This had everyone moaning when I brought it to a lake day with my friends, I hope that it elicits the same response from your loved ones!

Dips of other Varieties

These are dips that do not completely rely upon dairy to be perfect. These are some of my most flavorful recipes, one with chipotle spice, one with tomatillos, and last but not least one that can use up any herb in your garden.

This is a gooey delicious upgrade on store bought 7-layer bean dip. It is packed with chipotle flavor and a warm, easy to make homemade queso combined with some canned elements so that you can throw this together fairly quickly.

Bread Dipping Oil

This bread dipping oil is a great way to use up leftover nuts, herbs, and cheese in the most delicious way! This recipe is a suggestion but it’s the concept that you should save/remember.

Creamy Avocado and Tomatillo Salsa

This salsa can be put on anything from eggs to chicken to chips after you enjoy it at your Superbowl party. I make this so much and have made so many versions, that I think it’s damn near perfect.

Meat and Potatoes

This set of appetizers is hearty, hearty, hearty. The big boys at your Superbowl party will be full, satisfied, and not drinking on an empty stomach. So basically you need these to ensure that no one gets hangry or drunk and that your party goes unruined.

Kansas City Pulled Pork Puff Pastry

An absolute delight! These are perfect for your Superbowl party, especially if you are rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs. If you aren't, you should still make these, they are just too good and easy to pass up.

Detroit Style Pizza Muffins

These delicious and easy easy easy pizza muffins are really something special. Detroit style pizza is a wonderful creation from a fabulous city and while these aren’t exactly authentic, the thick, chewy, focaccia in this recipe mimic the thick chewy crust of Detroit-style pizza. The cheese caramelizes against the sides of the muffin tins.

Healthy Turkey Meatballs

My posted recipe for these meatballs goes beyond the meatballs themselves and shows you how to make a meatball sandwich. For the Superbowl, I would bake these in tomato sauce, top with provolone cheese and serve with toothpicks!

Clam Chowder Potato Skins

This San Francisco inspired appetizer is as delicious as it is nostalgic for those of us that have lived in or visited the Bay Area. It will remind you of walks along the Embarcadero, enjoying clam chowder and the company of friends.

Main Dish

Even though we have been filling up on appetizers the entire day, let's make a proper dinner just to mark the passage of time and signal to your guests that while you are an incredible host, the party is wrapping up soon. There are some classic gamedays options below and some easy, creative crowd-pleasers.

Easy, Healthy, Turkey Chili

This is my go to healthy weeknight or gameday meal. The best and easiest turkey chili. This is the perfect main course for a Superbowl Party, it is hearty, warm, and you can just have a tiny bowl if you have already filled up on dips.

Cubano Sandwich Sliders

These Cubano sandwich sliders are in that fun middle ground between an appetizer and a full on meal. Its all in how many that you decide to consumer. Its hard to stop at one or two, so this is officially going down as a main course.

Salmon Tacos with Spicy Mango Salsa

This easy little taco bar is perfect for an easy, fresh, delicious gameday. The super simple salmon tacos are instantly elevated with the fresh, sweet and spicy, mango salsa.

Spicy, Cheesy, Chicken Fold-ups

They are a perfect and insanely favorable upgrade to a classic chicken quesadilla. You can omit the flavorful ingredients to make a quesadilla for the kids at the party.

Sweet Treats

With all of the delicious, savory options above, its important to just have a little something sweet to finish the day. One of these appetizers shows some support to the 49ers and the City of San Francisco but don't let that stop you if that isn't your team of choice. If that's too big of a barrier for you to overcome, enjoy the Kansas City themed dessert or the delicious neutral option.

It's-It Ice Cream Sandwiches

This is a take on a San Francisco classic. I changed it up a bit by only dipping half and covering the chocolate in peanut but this can easily be made classic by omitting the crushed peanuts and covering the whole sandwich, or be switched up further by changing the ice cream flavor and dipping in crushed peppermints or sprinkles!

Apple Fritter Bites

These delicious little apple fritters will transport you to the donut shop from the safety and warmth of your own kitchen. This is a great starting recipe if you have never deep fried at home before. The apples soften up nicely and combine perfectly with the cinnamon, vanilla sweetness of the batter.

Blackberry and Brie Pinwheels

These pinwheels are highly customizable and so delicious. You can switch out the blackberries and thyme for just about any other fruit or even just your favorite jam. Just depends what you have around!

Drinks

I have selected three drink options for three different types of drinkers. We have a easy co*cktail that you can sip on all day (though that might be dangerous), a coffee based pick me up if you are a sleepy drinker, and a beer based co*cktail if you want to keep it classically football.

Kansas City Ice Water

This co*cktail is perfect for a hot summer day by the pool or as a companion during football season if you are rooting on the Kansas City Chiefs. I have a feeling that Taylor would LOVE this one.

San Francisco's Buena Vista Irish Coffee

The history of this perfect and iconic version of the Irish coffee can be found here. The way this co*cktail comes together is so perfectly San Francisco, a creative homage to another culture, perfectly executed.

Peach Shandy

A peach shandy is the perfect co*cktail for the person who loves the feeling or sipping on a nice beer but doesn't love the taste or is looking to make it half-proof to ensure that you remember the activity that you are participating in.
