CONTRACTED PROGRAM: The applicant acknowledges that failure to submit complete documentation or adhere to all eligibility requirements will result in the repayment of any remaining funds initially provided by the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County. This repayment, in full and by check, must be completed within 30 calendar days of receiving notification. If the payment is not made within this timeframe, the applicant consents to have the outstanding balance deducted from future School Readiness or VPK reimbursem*nts until the debt is fully settled/satisfied.

NONCONTRACTED PROGRAM/INDIVIDUALS: The applicant acknowledges that failure to submit complete documentation or adhere to all eligibility requirements will result in the repayment of any remaining funds initially provided by the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County. This repayment, in full and by check must be completed within 30 calendar days of receiving notification. If the payment is not received within this timeframe, the applicant agrees that the unpaid debt may be reported to the Division of Early Learning in accordance with the Collection of Delinquent Accounts policy. This policy permits the debt to be forwarded to a debt collection agent.

Literacy All Year and Summer Boost

Description: This grant opportunity is designed to provide a VPK and 4-year old classrooms with nearly $3000 in materials and children with home libraries as well as Electronic Reading Tablets. Teachers will also be eligible for Stipend of up to $1000 for completing task and professional development throughout the year.

FCCH Refresh and Revamp Project

Description: The Family Childcare Home Refresh and Revamp project is a dedicated effort to enhance the safety, aesthetics, and professionalism of family childcare homes in Hillsborough County. Family childcare providers interested in improving their childcare spaces will have the opportunity to apply for a chance to be selected for a mini-makeover. This makeover will be carried out by a team of experienced home improvement professionals. Four family childcare homes will be selected for a mini-makeover.

The primary goal of this project is to create safer, more engaging learning environments for the youngest members of our community, while also establishing a clear separation between the home and business aspects of these childcare facilities. Eligibility requirements will apply for those interested in participating. By enhancing these vital spaces, we aim to provide a higher standard of care and early learning experiences for children in our community.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Infant And Toddler Expansion

Description: The Infant & Toddler Expansion seeks to Increase the capacity of slots available for infants and toddlers and incentivize programs by offering a stipend for each new classroom created. Contracted and non-contracted programs that open new infant or toddler classroom(s) will be eligible to receive a stipend up to $15,000 for each new space to assist with costs. Programs currently participating in the Hillsborough County Infant and Toddler Initiative that open new classrooms will automatically qualify to receive the stipend. The ELCHC’s Infant/Toddler Coordinator and DCF Childcare Licensing will preview and/or approve each new space before stipend approval to ensure spaces are safe for children.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Curriculum Expansion

Description: The Curriculum Expansion grant is designed to support your efforts in providing high-quality early education by offering reimbursem*nt to School Readiness (SR) and/or Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) contracted providers within our service area for Curriculum, Curriculum Components, and/or Curriculum Training. Purchases must be made between March 29, 2023, through December 15, 2023.

Playground Equipment Initiative

Description: The purpose of this initiative is to provide children attending childcare with a safe place to develop gross motor skills and exercise! Participants will be able to replace existing or select new outdoor gross motor play equipment for the appropriate ages within their facility, including but not limited to ground cushioning, outdoor shade structures, and/or outdoor storage sheds.

Outdoor Garden Initiative

Description: This mini grant of a one-time up $1000, will also support materials and foliage needed for outdoor gardens, plants, and gardening materials/containers to support outdoor science and nature play. For ex: Soil, grow boxes, watering cans, shovels, seeds, plants, rain barrels, micro-watering- stand-alone sprinkler – gardening boarders Not- sprinkler systems.
